Thank You for Visiting Emma Morris Equines' Website!
I am a fully qualified and insured freelance groom and riding coach based in the Midlands.
With over 14 years' experience working with and training horses, I have the knowledge and skills to bring out the best in your horse and enable you to fulfil your ambitions together. I have always had a passion for horses from a young age, and have spent time in a variety of different yards, picking up experience along the way.
I have my full BHS Stage 3 in coaching and complete horsemanship, and also my UKCC level 2. I am a qualified first aider, DBS checked and on the BHS register of accredited professionals. I continually work on personal development and also hold my EQL Level 4 Certificate in The Principles of Horse Care and Management and will continue to work through my BHS stage 4 exams. I go on regular training days to stay up to date with new methods and techniques in the equine industry.
I work with all aspects of horses: teaching, riding, competing and clipping, or even more specific issues like refusing to load .
I enjoy competing, mainly in eventing. My current horse, Our Ashley, an ex race horse, is having success in BE100's and elementary/medium dressage and I hope he continues to progress through the levels and aim to eventually do a 2 star horse trial with him.
My other ride, Makfly, is more of an allrounder. He is also an ex race horse and has turned his hoof to hunting, horseball, eventing, dressage and showjumping! He is also a fantastic hack!
I still own Copper , now 26 years old. He is enjoying a quieter life. He is occasionally ridden, but no longer competes. He has a home for life with me after being in the family since I was a child !
